Trucks need a real carrier, not a sedan hauler.

A loaded F350 dually with a flatbed weighs over 8,000 pounds. A lifted Silverado 2500 with 37s does not fit on a standard 9 car hauler. Most brokers do not check, then your truck sits on a yard for a week because the first carrier turned the load away. We check first.

We dispatch carriers who run trucks every day. They know which trailers handle lifted heights, which trailers handle dually width, and which trailers can take a tow rig with a fifth wheel hitch still mounted. You get a quote that actually reflects the carrier reality, not a low ball that falls apart on day three.

Pickup at your driveway, your dealer, your job site, or your storage yard. Drop off wherever you say. No terminals, no detours, no waiting around.

Why truck owners pick Whipshipper

We do not pretend a truck is a Camry. We size the carrier to the truck.

1

Right trailer for the truck

Lifted on a step deck. Dually on a wide load hauler. Standard half ton on a regular 9 car. Matched, not stuffed.

2

Real height and width math

We measure before we book so the carrier does not show up and refuse the load.

3

Carriers who run trucks

Same drivers, same lanes, every week. They know how to strap a dually without scuffing the rims.

4

Hot shot option

For dually pickups and singles, a hot shot rig on a gooseneck is often faster and cheaper. We quote both.

5

Job site pickup

We pick up from active job sites, work yards, oil field gates, and storage lots. Send the GPS pin.

6

Live GPS the whole way

Track on your dashboard. Driver calls 2 hours before pickup and 2 hours before drop off.

Open vs enclosed for trucks

Most trucks ship open. Enclosed exists, here is when it makes sense.

Open transport

  • Standard for pickups, work trucks, and daily drivers
  • 9 to 10 truck haulers, lifted goes on step deck
  • Lower cost, faster availability
  • Recommended for stock and lightly modified trucks
  • Recommended for fleet relocations and dealer trades
  • Some road grime exposure, normal for any drive

Enclosed transport

  • Rarely needed for trucks, but available
  • Best for show trucks, restored vintage pickups, and prerunners
  • Higher cost, slower availability
  • Recommended for fresh paint, custom wraps, and matte finishes
  • Recommended for one of one builds and SEMA trucks
  • Climate control optional for true show vehicles

Prep your truck before pickup

Five minutes saves you a lot of hassle at the curb.

Quarter tank of fuel

Carrier rule. Lighter load, lower fire risk. Fill up after delivery.

Pull the loose stuff

Tool boxes, generators, ladders, anything that can shift in transit. Personal items are not insured.

Disable the alarm

Trucks bouncing on a trailer trip alarms. Disarm or pull the key fob batteries.

Note the lift height

Total height from ground to roof, including any roof rack or light bar. Carrier needs the number.

Photograph everything

Walk around, photo every panel, the wheels, the bed, the interior. Phone timestamps protect you.

Spare key, not the only key

Carrier needs a key to load and unload. Give them a spare, keep your main on you.

Truck shipping rates

Stock half ton to one ton dually estimates. Lifted and oversized adds 15 to 30 percent.
